About
This is a network of young people ecstatic about bringing more youth to their ecovillages, through work exchanges, internships, online discussion groups, trainings and community experiences.
By hosting educational events and reaching out to student groups, our Sustainability Educators share their extensive knowledge in all aspects of communal regenerative living. We teach whole-system sustainability, selecting only the most experienced and dedicated individuals to become Educators for NextGEN. We are a team of youth working for youth, igniting the power of the next generation, and inspiring the emergence of a new world.
Founded as a group within the Global Ecovillage Network (GEN), we see ourselves as envoys for the next wave of the ecovillage movement. By merging the wisdom of GEN with the creative ideas of the younger generation, we hope to serve as a strong voice of representation within established organizations.We work to educate, connect, and inspire the next generation we all wish to see.
Activities and Projects
We host a discussion call once a month named “Youth in Ecovillages”. Our aim is to inspire people from all ages, with an emphasis on youth, to explore what it’s like to live in an ecovillage. A special guest shares their rich background and experience living in their community. Each call focuses on 2 topics that include: sustainability, decision making, education, ethics & conflict resolution inside their communities.
